Recap
Coming in to Friday night's game at the Little Rose Bowl, the Bears had a few things to accomplish: remain undefeated, win the mythical Cedar County trophy, and win the District 3 Championship. All of that is what the Bears achieved on Senior Night at Oliphant Street Field.
The Bear win secures them the Class 1A District 3 Championship and a spot in the playoffs where they will host in the first round on Friday, October 27th.
Another night, another set of records broken by this 2017 team.
- In the second quarter, Beau Cornwell hit 1,729 yards passing for the season, which breaks the record of 1,728 set by Cooper Koenig in 2015.
- In the second quarter, Beau Cornwell passed for his 20th touchdown of the season, which ties the record set by Caleb Walter in 2005.
