After close games in back-to-back weeks against Bellevue and Durant, Bears fans were looking for a relaxing game Friday night in North Cedar. Thanks to a dominating 49-7 Bear victory, that's exactly what the fans got.

After rolling out to a 14-0 first quarter lead, the Bears piled on another four scores in the second quarter for a 42-7 halftime lead. After a 10+ minute scoring drive to open the 3rd quarter, the Bears had a 42 point lead which was all they needed to walk out of North Cedar with their seventh victory of the season.

The record-breaking 2017 season continued Friday night at North Cedar as two more single-season school records were broken:

• Ben Thompson caught his 10th touchdown pass of the season, breaking the mark of 9 set by Ricky Riley in 2005
• In the second quarter, Beau Cornwell completed his 115th pass of the season, breaking the mark of 114 set by Cooper Koenig set in 2015. Cornwell ended the game at 121 on the season.
