September 24, 2015 — 6:00am CDT

Location: Bellevue

Date: September 25, 2015

Time: 7:00pm CDT

Game Notes

One of the two teams on the field Friday night will be looking for not only a signature victory but also a season-saving victory, That would be the Bellevue Comets. After winning its season opener, the boys in blue have lost three consecutive games - including two district games. QB Cade Daugherty has stepped up at quarterback and thrown for 476 yards. His favorite targets are Neal Valant and Peter Kilburg. On the ground, Kilburg leads the Comets with just over 300 yards and Lucas Anderson is a downhill runner that can punish a team if it does not keep an eye on him....West Branch survived a monsoon and a second Saturday morning game in its district opening game last weekend. Six turnovers and a multitude of penalties are not a coach's dream scenario. However, the Bears gained 436 yards on offense (236 rush/201 pass) and limited North Cedar to 160 (including -43 yards rushing which is a new school record). Luke Lenoch continued his strong play with 179 yards rushing and two scores. Aaron Barnes returned a punt 57 yards for six as well.
