Little Rose Bowl
Regular Season

Recap

Last night at the Little Rose Bowl, it was a battle of unbeaten, district 5 teams as Bellevue came to town sitting in that first place district position.

West Branch's offense and defense allowed the Bears to take that No. 1 position away from Bellevue on Friday night.

Luke Lenoch, once again had another great night running the ball as the district's leading rusher got the ball 28 times and ran for 185 yards. During the third quarter, the Lenoch eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark for the season.

Lucas Lamont had another solid performance at quarterback. The Bear QB was 8/10 passing and threw for 149 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 70 yard bomb to Matt Shawver for a touchdown in the second half. Lamont also contributed to the Bears' attack on the ground by running 13 times for 52 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Devin Kindon once again had a great all-around performance rushing, receiving, and kicking the ball. Kindon ran for 46 yards and a touchdown, caught 4 passes for 45 yards and a touchdown, and added on to his consecutive PAT streak which is now in the 40s dating back to late last season.

Overall, the Bears' offense tallied 432 total yards, including 149 yards passing and 283 yard rushing.

On the defensive side of the ball, Travis Wolf came to play once again. The senior linebacker and defensive end totaled 8 tackles, including 4 solo tackles and 1 tackle for loss. The Bears' defense shined again Friday night, only giving up 7 points to a Bellevue team that was averaging around 40 points a game.
