Don't blink or you might miss a big play. WBND is, perhaps, the fastest team in Iowa. Fresh off a dominating state championship run at the IHSAA State Track meet. RB Isaiah Trousil (333 yards, 5TD, 9,8 ypc) is the fastest kid in Iowa if you go by state track meet and Drake Relays times. New QB Spencer Ferguson already has a 200+ yard rushing game under his belt (279 rush, 189 pass, 3 TD) and has replaced Brant Wrede seamlessly. Other names to remember: WR/Returns Xavier Williams, WR/DB Jacob Smith, and FB/LB Luke Shipley. The Falcons are averaging over 450 yards of offense and 42 points per game....The Bears have steamrolled their first two opponents as well, averaging over 400 yards of offense and giving up less than 190 yards of total yards on defense. Cooper Koenig is just shy of 400 yards passing. RB Luke Lenoch is sitting at exactly 300 yards rushing with 4TD. Matt Shawver and Aaron Barnes are Koenig's big play guys. Key defensive play by LB Cale Donovan and DT Cole Tisinger have been the harbinger for the Bear success on that side of the ball....This is the first time the Bears have ever played at West Burlington....The Falcons' head coach, Nick Breuer, is no stranger to Bear fans. He was the lead man for the Clayton Ridge Eagles and saw the Bears on a few occasions before moving to West Burlington in 2014.
