Dan is a 1995 graduate of Columbus Community Schools in Columbus Junction, Iowa. In high school he was a two-time first team All-District Defensive Tackle and earned All-State honors.

He attended NIACC and played for the Trojans, and is now a Sergeant at Iowa Medical Classification Center in Coralville, Iowa.

Dan is married to Kari (Pedersen), a West Branch graduate and daughter to the late Butch Pedersen. Together they have four children.

Dan enjoys spending time with his kids, watching college football, and fishing in his free time. His favorite quote is, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” Go Bears #SLF
