The coaches of Class 1A District 5 have announced their group selections for All-District teams and District 5 most valuable players.

Recent All-State honories Luke Lenoch, Jacob Barnhart, and Colton Dietz have also been named District 5 most valuable players at their positions. Junior Luke Lenoch won the running back MVP award by a unanimous vote amongst the coaches.

Coach Butch Pedersen has been named District 5 coach of the year!

Ten additional Bears have been honored on the District 5 first team, second team, and honorable mention lists.

District 5 All-District First Team includes:

• Aaron Barnes, wide receiver
• Jacob Barnhart, offensive lineman
• Colton Dietz, defensive lineman
• Devin Kindon, full back
• Cooper Koenig, quarterback
• Luke Lenoch, running back
• Matt Shawver, wide receiver

District 5 All-District Second Team includes:

• Cale Donovan, linebacker
• Hunter Wargo, wide receiver

District 5 Honorable Mentions includes:

• Jake Evans, defensive end
• Cooper Kablea, defensive end/tight end
• John Krall, offensive lineman
