Announced early this morning from the Iowa High School Athletic Association were round one pairings for the 2014 State Playoffs.

In round one on Wednesday, October 29th, West Branch will face off against the Sigourney-Keota Savage Cobras.

The game will be held in West Branch at the Little Rose Bowl as the Bears have clinched home field advantage all throughout the playoffs.

The last time these two teams played was the 2013 season in an exciting 47-46 double overtime victory for the Bears. Highlights of that game can be seen below.

Other District 5 match-ups include #2 seed North Cedar hosting Hudson, #3 seed Bellevue traveling to Dike-New Hartford, and #4 seed Alburnett traveling to Iowa City Regina. All of the round one pairings can be viewed here.
