We are pleased to announce that West Branch High School student and Bear Football defensive end Jeff Bowie has received an offer from Northern Illinois University to play football for the Huskies.

The FBS program has offered the sophomore a full-ride scholarship to continue his education and football careers in Dekalb playing for a great football program.

In his first two years as a Bear, Bowie has amassed over 14 sacks and 50 tackles from his defensive end position. He has also played an integral part in the offensive line, paving the way for a successful passing and rushing game.

We are about two years away from the 2021 National Signing Day where Bowie would first be able to sign a letter of intent to attend a school. Until then, Bowie may continue to receive offers in addition to the great one he has received from NIU.

Check out a highlight package of Jeff, and our other student-athletes, on our recruiting page.

In week one of the 2018 season, Bowie was chosen as The BearCast’s Player of the Game where he was interviewed about his multi-sack performance.
