Little Rose Bowl
Regular Season

Recap

The Bears ended the regular season undefeated Friday night at the Little Rose Bowl and it was a special night. Not only because of an undefeated season, but because it was Senior Night. It was the seniors' last regular season football game at the Little Rose Bowl, something they will certainly remember for the rest of their lives.

The Bears defeated the Alburnett Pirates 42-0 on a misty and foggy Friday night. The Bears began scoring early thanks to a great opening drive which started with a Mason Hays kickoff return to midfield. Luke Lenoch finished the drive with a 34 yard touchdown run, his first of four touchdowns in the game.

On Alburnett's first possession, Austin Black picks of a Dillon Caves' pass to set the Bears' second drive up at the 45 yard line. The second drive was a short one and included a 40 yard pass from Lucas Lamont to Nick Westcott, which set up a 5 yard Luke Lenoch touchdown run.

Still in the first quarter, the Bear offense drove the ball deep into Alburnett territory and caped off the drive with a Luke Lenoch one yard touchdown run. At the end of the first quarter, it was 21-0 West Branch.

In the second quarter, Lucas Lamont completes a 58 yard pass to Matt Shawver who would have made it to the end zone if he had not been tripped up by the Alburnett defender. With 45 seconds left in the half, Lucas Lamont throws a beautiful pass up the middle to a leaping Devin Kindon who landed in the end zone for a 20 yard touchdown pass and catch. Just a few plays later, Sam Aspelmeier intercepts an Alburnett pass to give the Bears the ball with just 31 seconds left in the half. Two plays later, Lamont hooks up with Kindon on an incredible 25 yard pass and catch to set the Bears up with a 1st and goal from the six yard line. On the next play, Lamont throws a pass to the corner of the end zone and it is caught by Sam Aspelmeier for a Bear touchdown. West Branch would lead 35-0 at the half.

In the third quarter, Luke Lenoch scores his fourth touchdown of the night, and the Bears' final, with a 18 yard run off the right edge to give the Bears a 42-0 lead. The Bears would go on to win 42-0.
