Regular Season

Recap

Friday night, Goose Lake played host to a District 4 matchup between West Branch and Northeast. Unfortunately, it also played hosted to a large weather system that wreaked havoc on the game.

The start time of the game, originally set at 7pm, was moved to 6pm in hopes to get out ahead of the storms. The game did just that, but only by one play as the first lightning delay occurred immediately after the opening kickoff. After 45 minutes of delay, the teams came back out onto the field to resume.

Thanks to short fields, the Bears got up 28-0 by the end of the first quarter where the game was ultimately called by West Branch and Northeast school administrators.

Due to the weather, the BearCast crew was unable to get interviews after the game tonight.

This week's player of the game is Tanner Lukavsky for his 55 yards rushing and two touchdowns on just four attempts. The Player of the Game is presented by Main Street Sweets.

This week's uncommon play of the game is Wyatt Goodale's punt return for a touchdown. This is the second straight week the Bears have scored on special teams. The Uncommon Play of the Game is brought to you by the Hoover Presidential Foundation.
