Game Notes

After winning the first game of the season, the Indians have fallen on tough times - losing their next 5 by an average of 28-6. However, they have a few weapons that will burn you if given an inch of space. WR/RB Jorge Osornio returns and he gave the Bear defense fits in 2013. QB Corben Mears has proven more than capable, having thrown for 600 yards on the season....The Bears continue to develop offensively each week. WB racked up 558 yards total offense last week against Durant, and very balanced. Matt Shawver recorded 155 receiving yards, tying Tyler Donovan (2013) for a school record....West Branch can clinch a postseason berth and a first round home game with victory on Friday. It would be the 22nd time the Bears have earned a playoff invitation in the 31 years Head Coach Butch Pedersen has been at the helm (all since 1988).
