The Comets go as far as their spark plug will take them...that being QB Keenan Plossel. He has thrown for 585 yards and also leads the team in rushing with 278 yards. Alex Hinke (14 rec, 286 yds, 5td) and Tyler Banowetz (12 rec, 213 yds, 2td) are his main targets. The Comets' defense is only giving up a paltry 6 points per game....West Branch needed a test, and got one last week. They passed. RB Luke Lenoch set a school record for most rushing yards in a game with 324 yards on 40 carries, scoring 4 TD. Jacob Giese continued his strong play at DT with 6 tackles, all of them for loss....West Branch and Bellevue are the 2nd and 3rd best offenses, and 1st and 2nd best defenses in Class 1A, District 5...The winner of this game will take the driver's seat in District 5.
