Friday night at the Little Rose Bowl, a trip to the 2016 Class 1A Playoffs was on the line in the regular season finale.
West Branch and Clayton Ridge were tied in the Class 1A District 3 standings with the district's final playoff spot up for grabs. Forty-eight minutes of football proved to be not enough for either team as the game needed an OT round to decide the winner. Check out the highlights from the game below.
Despite the loss, the Bears are still headed to the playoffs as they secured one or two Class 1A wildcard spots thanks to their 5-2 district record and high point differential. The team will travel to Iowa City this coming Friday to take on the #1 Regina Regals.
