The Little Rose Bowl and the Bears played host to the Cardinal Comets in the first round of the 2021 IHSAA Football Playoffs and a matchup between the Comets' high-flying offense and the Bears' shutdown defense. The West Branch defense lived up to the hype by pitching a shutout through almost 45 minutes of the 48 minute game. At the same time, the West Branch offense was the offense to light up the scoreboard, putting up 35 in three quarters of play before salting the game away in the fourth.
