Recap
Friday night the Little Rose Bowl played host to a round one playoff game. Thursday night, however, it was completely covered in three inches of snow. But that didn't deter the Bears, nor the community of West Branch, from getting Butch Pedersen Field ready for play. And play did the Bears.
The West Branch defense was dominant all evening long; pitching a shutout, allowing just 156 yards, and coming up with three interceptions and two fumble recoveries. In addition, the Bears' offense played through the rough conditions and put 23 points and 329 yards on the board in route to a 23-0 victory over North Linn.
The win moves the Bears' overall record to 10-0 and on to the next round of the playoffs where they will meet with the Regina Regals next Friday night at the Little Rose Bowl.
