Game Preview: West Branch vs Lisbon

August 28, 2014 — 8:42am CDT

Location: Lisbon

Date: August 29, 2014

Time: 7:00pm CDT

Game Notes

Lisbon enters the season with question marks - only because they have many holes to fill via 2014 graduation. Keegan Tritle (6-4, 260) is a big reason why the Lions will be very successful this year. Connor Woodward and Benton Frey will also be key cogs to strengthen the Lisbon armor....West Branch, on the other hand, returns 16 starting positions. QB Lucas Lamont (1517 yards, 13 TD) returns at signal caller, and has his frontline protection all in tow (Jon St John, Ryan Grosvenor, Matt McIlrath, Drew Finnegan, and Jack Miller). And the Bears added an all-state transfer on the line in Jacob Giese. RB Luke Lenoch begins his sophomore season as the heir apparent to fill the RB position. Other key players: WR Mason Hays, HB/K Devin Kendon, TE/LB Nick Westcott, PR/KR/DB Austin Black.

Team Records & Rankings

Lisbon is unranked. West Branch enters the season as the #7 ranked team in the state by the Des Moines Register.
