Prep Redzone, a website that tracks and reports on high school football players that are college football prospects, has come out with their latest round of class of 2021 prospect rankings for the state of Iowa across multiple positions. Two Bears have made their class of 2021 rankings list.

Gavin Hierseman comes in at #8 on Prep Redzone's list of quarterbacks. During the 2019 season, Hierseman threw for over 1,500 yards and 19 touchdowns to just four interceptions. The QB also rushed for over 400 yards and eight touchdowns. Hierseman is looking to play college football and his highlight video can be seen on our Recruiting page.

Hierseman is joined on the list by other in-area quarterbacks such as Marcus Morgan at Iowa City West, Ashton Cook at Regina, and Henry Clymer of Washington. The full list of quarterbacks can be viewed on Prep Redzone's page of Iowa 2021 QB Rankings.

Also making Prep Redzone's list for the class of 2021 is Bear defensive end and offensive lineman, Jeff Bowie. The upcoming senior comes in at #4 on PR's list of defensive lineman rankings. Bowie, who committed to the University of Iowa earlier this year, is coming off a great 2019 season in which he tallied 44.5 tackles, 22 of which where for a loss. Bowie also racked up 6.5 sacks from his defensive end position.

Bowie is joined on the list by TJ Bollers of Clear Creek-Amana, who has committed to the University of Wisconsin, and fellow University of Iowa committments Max Llewellyn of Urbandale and Griffin Liddle of Bettendorf. The full list of defensive lineman can be viewed on Prep Redzone's page of Iowa 2021 DL Rankings.
