Former Bear Bo Bower receives tryout offer from Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings today have released their list of rookie camp tryout players to the public. Among the 31 players receiving an invite and participating is former West Branch Football player Bo Bower.

Bower is a 2013 graduate of West Branch High School and has spent the last five years at the University of Iowa as a key part of the Hawkeyes' linebacking crew, starting all 13 games this past season.

The Vikings' rookie camp starts today and extends through the rest of the weekend. The camp marks the first on-field action for players taken by the team in last week's NFL Draft, players who signed on as undrafted free agents, and tryout players.

If Bower impresses the Vikings' coaching staff, he could be offered an undrafted free agent deal to be part of the 90-man roster for the start of Training Camp later this summer.

Good luck this weekend, Bo!
